Stuffed Animal Drive for Draper Fire Station

We gathered at Liberty Hill Town Homes and were joined by 21 residents and volunteers. South Mountain Fire Department graciously sent over three of their fire fighters/medics to help with our event. The purpose of this drive was to provide toys for the department to have on hand in their emergency vehicles in hopes to comfort or redirect the attention of children who may be in crises due to any various incident that the EMTs might be responding to. The crew gave a fire safety presentation, tour of the vehicle and demonstrated the full fireman’s suit and all of its gadgets. We were able to send them away to their next emergency with 205 toys and stuffed animals to assist in their efforts. Thank you to all those who participated.
