2015 Book Drive for Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore

The two week long Cowboy Pledge 2015 book drive for the Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore was a great success. Residents and staff from Cowboy Properties Apartment communities located in Clearfield, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Heber City and Park City, Utah donated hundreds of books to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for use in their book loaning program.
Cowboy pledge volunteers from several Salt Lake City Cowboy Properties apartment communities gathered at the Liberty CityWalk Apartments club room to sort and pack the books for delivery. They were excited to see how many children’s books had been donated. Over 200 children’s books of all kinds filled the sorting tables and overflowed onto the club room furniture. A very generous resident from Liberty City Walk Apartments donated many of the children’s books. She and her young family member also helped sort and pack them.

All of the volunteers who helped sort and pack over 500 books, enjoyed the light refreshments that were provided by Cowboy Properties at the conclusion of the event.

The books were delivered to the Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore and will provide many of their customers a chance to take a book home knowing that when they are through reading it they can return it and exchange it for another one.
Cowboy Pledge thanks everyone who donated books and all of the volunteers who came to help sort and pack them. The Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore expressed their appreciation for this large donation and they were especially grateful for the children’s books.
